The TI-Nspire™ handheld comes with the interchangeable TI-84 Plus Keypad* that provides side-by-side compatibility with the TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus families of graphing calculators.
By inserting the TI-84 Plus Keypad, educators and students can continue using the TI-Nspire handheld alongside TI-83 Plus, TI-84 Plus and TI-84 Plus Silver Edition graphing calculator models. Simply remove the TI-Nspire Keypad and slide in the TI-84 Plus Keypad. It's fast and easy, and fits securely into place.
EXAM ACCEPTANCE
The TI-Nspire handheld–with TI-84 Plus Keypad inserted–can be used on exams that permit
TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus family graphing calculators, such as SAT**, ACT**, PSAT** and AP** exams.
Using the TI-Nspire handheld as a TI-84 Plus will give you access to these built-in calculator software applications (Apps):

With the TI-84 Plus keypad inserted, educators and students can continue:
- Using the TI-Navigator classroom learning system, version 3.0 software or later.

Collecting data using TI’s CBR 2™ motion detector and CBL 2™ data collection device, as well as Vernier Software and Technology’s EasyTemp® temperature sensor and EasyLink® sensor interface.

Transferring data back-and-forth between student TI-Nspire handhelds and the teacher’s classroom computer using TI Connect™ software.
*The TI-84 Plus Keypad is not included or compatible with the TI-Nspire CAS handheld and may not be included with TI-Nspire handheld when sold outside of North America.
